If you plan on doing any off roading they will eventually get beaten up so badly you'll take them off. I always liked mine but decided to take them off before they fell off. I think the truck looks better too.

they fell half way off before you removed them fully.

they are great for old people to get in your truck and pound pavement, not so great for anything dirtier and deeper than a pothole.

Wish you lived closer, I could use a set for my wife's Disco when her mom comes to visit. It's a struggle for her to get in and out.

LOL, I've never seen a Disco that you needed running boards to get into.

Did you make those sliders, or buy them? They look more like your typical slider, but I've never seen any like that for the discovery... most of the disco sliders I see advertised are square and look like they mount where the original plastic rocker trim was.

I removed my running boards the day I bought my used Disco six years ago. They were like a woman wearing spike heels on a hiking trail but I only bought a Rover with one purpose in mind and that was to off road. What's your purpose in owning your nice looking Disco? I have sliders and they are worth every penny if you off road.

Running boards should all be tubular steel securely mounted to the frame.
