Rust cover up...
Going to tackle the rust issues on my Disco soon and I had a thought for the rear floor. The floor has minor surface rust, except for the passenger side seem. That is pretty much rotted through. My plan was to grind down the entire rear floor, fill in the holes with fiberglass/resin, POR15 it and flat black it; then bolt a sheet of aluminum over the rear floor. I figured the POR15 would stop the rust on the old floor and if I bolted aluminum over top of the existing floor, I wont have to pay someone to weld it up. Is this a reasonable idea? After this is all done, I plan on spraying the entire floor with bed liner and then putting in heavy duty rubber mats.
