Hello All

I am looking for a good and cost effective safari rack for my 98 Disco I. Does anyone have any good suggestions out there? I would like to spend less then 1K, if at all possible. I seen a lot out there on different sites and they are all over 1200 bucks plus freight shipping. So I am just looking around trying to find something relatively cheap.

If you'er looking new, for under $1,000, your best bet would be a Baja Rack. I've seen them in person and they are NICE. Unless I can find a used SD style rack, I'm going to buy a Baja Rack.

This is a DII, but you get the idea.


If you don't mind used you should be able to find one on Craigslist for between $500-$800 depending on your location and the shape of the rack. I found my safari basket on Craigslist for $250....it is a genuine Land Rover basket like the one on www.dap-inc.com
