Sluggish 1998 Disco
I've done the Seafoam in the vacuum line with no change. I'm going to change the plugs this weekend, but I got thinking the exhaust my be plugged... Anyone have any advice, guidance or knowledge that can get my power back. The mileage is 144,000, stock tires and stock exhaust.

Last tuned: Don't know but I will be doing that this weekend. (plugs, wires ect.)
Octane: 91
Fuel filter: I'll add that to the list for this weekend
Fault codes: not been pulled
I'm sorry for thinking, I really didn't mean to.
It just seems like something is holding it back. I can get on the freeway and do 70-80mph, just getting there takes longer that it should.

Update: I just checked my mileage and I'm getting 13.4mpg if that plays a part in determining the problem.

When I first got mine, it seemed pretty weak compared to what I was used to with other vehicles.
I worked my way thru new plugs & 8mm wires, new air filter, replaced the vacumn hoses (the EGR hoses), oil change, new fluids totally (tranny, t/c, diff's) and all the typical goodies. I only use 93 octane (usually Shell or Sunoco).
I also replaced the fuel pump assembly due to a cracked top, new fuel lines due to corroded old ones, new fuel filter as well.
With all that it got better and better with each change. Now it is actually "peppy", and even responsive especially after the EGR hoses and a new LR paper air filter.

Thank you for your input. As for your questions, I've only had it about a month. I have had a 96 and a 97 Discovery with more miles and more power than this one. That being said I do know there has to be something that can be done, I just need some guidance to find it.
