Actually it is a white 99 d1 that is worth saving in my book. None of the D2 problems. Get it $1500 and take it home.

Well now we have two educated opinions which differ.

I'd say it all depends on how it drives and level of corrosion. Suspension stuff can cost you some funds, but it is fixable. Same for engine and transmission. Of course it depends on the depth of the problems. Some can be surprisingly cheap, others expensive.

Electrical problems and corrosion are the big killers. Has a new radio been installed and did they hack up all the wires behind the dash? What do the floor under front carpets and under rear load space look like? How about the base of the A and B pillars? Do all the switches on the dash work?

Bring a live data / code reader and hook it up as you test drive. $30 well spent and that can tell you a whole lot about the condition of the engine/cooling system.

Okay, I do have a reader, and run the program that came with it for my (1999 Land Cruiser)...Where is the port for the DI?


I am going to look at it today @ 1300...
