Yup, thats what happens, you will need to either do the trick I did with the gaiter kit or replace the whole swivel.
Go price a swivel and seals once.

Im going to look at prices, but i assume its going to be around the same as the kit you showed me. I might try to sand down the rust as much as i can and that may help.

Mine had grease in them. Level seemed ok but it was black, as in not looking like it had ever been re-greased. Not wanting to take the thing apart, I added some blue grease from a grease gun and sealed it back up. Maybe placebo effect, but the front end seems a bit smoother now.

You can repair your swivel ***** also. Swivel Ball Repair
The guy who did the above write-up did it about 15 years ago and they are still working fine.
There are some other write-ups on it floating around.

Where the hell are you finding new swivels for $155?
Cheapest I found before I went the gaiter kit route was $250+shipping from the UK.

Trevor of course!!!
Why in the hell didn't I think of that???
I've been buying all of my parts from him lately, when I finally get the "death wobble" I will be replacing both swivels so I will keep him in mind.
