Um, not sure why you didn't?

Haven't found a MAF yet for your spares bin. Have a job on a DII coming up next week though, external coolant leakage, passenger side, rear of motor. I'll be going through Trevor for the gaskets......as usual.

I did my gaiters a long time ago so I dont know why I didnt then either, oh well, such is life.
Maybe I'll ask for a swivel ball for Christmas, and then another one for Fathers Day, and then the seal kit for Valentines day.
No hurry on the MAF, its for my spares shelf and mines in good nick but I know it wont last forever.

Dont buy swivels from Roverland parts, they will be used and will leak in no time.
With all the work thats involved you are going to want to use only 100% new.

I know they sell used parts, but your right, new would be safer.

Its not about safety when it comes to the swivel *****, its about saving yourself a butt ton of work.
It is a fairly big job to replace the swivel *****, you need to remove the CV joints, the track rod, wheel bearings and then put new seals on, adjust the swivel pre-load and install new shims...if you are going to go cheap buy the gaiter kit to "stop" the leak, otherwise do it right the first time because this is not a job you want to do again in 6 months.
The swivel's get pitted from road salt etc. and thats what causes them to leak 98% of the time.
Used ones are going to be pitted or close to it and odds are will leak again in no time.

Swivel ***** don't wear. As long as they are not pitted, scratched, etc., I'd have no qualms buying used.
Getting the assurance that they are in good condition might be problematic, but that's a different issue.

If you have another vehicle to drive, I'd go the epoxy route.

Roverland will probably want as much or more for used parts than Trevor will sell new ones for.

I thought I already said it enough times, ROVAHFARM!!!!!!!!!!

I wasn't saying he should buy used ones, just that because they are used isn't a reason to rule them out. Obviously price and condition are a factor.

The only problem with buying used ones off of the internet is you have zero idea what shape they are going to be in.
If a guy could go to a U-Wrench it and inspect them before buying sure, go for it, but when at someone else's mercy who is half way across the country and does not give a rats *** about you or the next guy...buyer beware.
