Tachometer stopped working

Default Tachometer stopped working

Tach started jumping up and own then stopped working any suggestions?

Alternater....Its either going bad or your wires are loose on it

2x on the alternator...but as above...check the wire connections first...they're a lot cheaper !!

Altenator check your belts and pulleys. Take it to autozone anything below 13v got a bad alt. But before u change it make sure the belt is routed the right way. I had mine routed wrong it worked fine until it got cold and my alt didt have enough juice and my tach started jumping. In my case it was just a bad belt route but the tach prob was direct affect of the alt not having enough voltage. Now it's all good

My Disco's drive belt was routed incorrectly when I bought it. Same problem with my tach. Took me a lot of headscratching and rebuilding of the alternator, then finally replcing the belt before I figured it out.

That was it wire with female spade connector came off the back of alternator
I ha d replaced alternator 6 months ago. Baaaa, I feel sheepish!
