Looks a little too UFO-ish.

Is that even that great a deal for $350?

The problem I see with this is that you need to either weld it yourself or pay someone to do it. If you can weld yourself, why not just save some money and build yourself a custom bumper? If you have to pay someone the cost goes up even more. So I would say this is not a great deal. You can find ARB or RTE for $500 or less.

Yeah, that was kinda my question.

How much would it cost to go somewhere (steel store? ) and buy a piece of steel cut into specified shapes?

The steel is not that expensive really. Just doing a quality job on the cutting and welding would be the hard part. Most bulk steel vendors don't do cuts like that at least the ones I have encountered.

I guess though if you have a angle grinder with a cutting disc and a lot of time it could be done

You just need a friend with a plasma cutter. Usually the "steel store" is going to sell you whole flat sheets. The metal store my friend uses will give you one or maybe two cuts for free on tubing and angle or flat stock, just so that it will fit in your trailer, as some tubes and such might be 20' long or more.

I can weld it no problem, I can Fab it, my issue is I do not have a plasma cutter and I do not like the ragged edge left if I use the oxy/ acyt torch to make the cuts just more work to make it look nice, pannels I can have sheered at the steel place but it is expensive.. there is always use dom tubing but need a bender

I saw these kits on eBay and was considering it for myself. But I'm not sure that I like the fit (or lack there of) up to the grill and fenders. Other than that, I like the overall shape. But I think I could do better myself, and I have access to a plasma table at work. So I may just go that rout.
