Default Well, this wasn't supposed to happen!!

Alright, it's cold & I shouldn't have been working on my disco, but decided to replace the battery ground & positive wires today while I was replacing the 4th alternator under warranty. Well, I seemed to have snapped one of the cooling hose nipples off of the expansion tank trying to "worm" the negative cable out. Is there a way to bypass the expansion tank till I get a new expansion tank Fedex'd to me? Dumb, Dumb, DUMB!!!!

Plug the hose and run a bolt into the tank and leave the cap loose?

Super glued it back together & then ran 3 more coats of super glue over top of that before baking it in the oven. Drove it about 3 miles with out it leaking. Hopes aren't that high it will hold, but will get a few machine screws & rubber washers on your suggestion.

I have used a product in the past that is a super glue type of stuff with a 'welding powder' additive. It goes by the name Rapid Fix and does an fantastic job of holding things together. You use it like regular super glue and then add the powder to reinforce the glue joint, and add more super glue.

I have found it locally at NAPA and auto repair stores.
