I agree with all the suggestions for sources of the leak. Just gonna take patience to figure out which one it is. As for drying it out I would actually cut a line under the console and then across under the seat that way they won't really be visible but will let you just remove that square so you can take it inside a dry garage or the bathtub and rinse it well then hang it up. Then that will open up that area so you can clean it up and seal off what you need to. That's what I would do if it were me. Good luck.

I agree. You could take a good sharp razor knife and cut that section out, remove it to let it dry and probably replace it all right.

Thanks all for all the help and suggestions.

I do not know if it is the A/C drainage lines, as I have not used the A/C at all ever. But it can not hurt to check them.

My wife says "Don't cut it cause it won't be the same." LOL so as to not make my wife upset I will just keep the fan under the padding and let it keep blowing until it is completely dried out. I just have to drive the other car.

thanks again

You can take it completely out as well.

Just an FYI my Jeep TJ has sectioned carpets so you can remove them and you can't tell any difference between it and my disco. Obviously the disco is quieter but that's because it has padding under the carpet (and a sealed passenger compartment lol).
