What are the top 5 engine ticking reasons for a 98 Disco?

1) it seems to be coming from the valve cover on the passenger side.
2) It increases with engine rpm's
3) at idle, it does not tick one for one, but ticks and then misses and then ticks again etc etc.

any thoughts?

I'm not familiar with that word. Only words I could come up with that fit are beseech and bewitch; and neither of them make any sense in that sentence...

stop being a little BESEECH
OR
stop being a little BEWITCH

nope. Doesn't make sense.
