Window stickers and tint
So my oldest son just joined the Army and gave me a "Proud parent of a soldier!" window sticker.
I am not a fan of bumper stickers or window stickers.
This sticker goes on the inside of the window.
My windows have factory tint, and being the rear window it has the defroster wires.
So my question is if I put this sticker in the rear window whats going to happen when I try and take it off in 4 years?

The factory tint is inside the glass. you can't scratch it off. The Defrost lines are on the inside surface of the glass, so do not use a scraper on it, but as stated, goof off will get the sticky off once you take off the sticker. You can use a blade carefully between the lines.
I say once it goes on it stays on, that is what pride is all about.
I was in the Navy during the tail end of the Viet Nam "Conflict", where we lost way too many.
I spent most of my time in schools, then putting on Air Shows for the high and mighty in the Med................ So I never faced the terrors that namy did. Just the luck of draw I guess.
God Bless and watch over all the kids that are serving in all branches everywhere. They face deadly challenges every day to help all of us stay free.

It is a small sticker and there is enough space under the bottom row of defroster lines for it to fit from the looks of it.
I am worried it wont be easily seen by others because of the tint, but it wont mean as much to him if I put it on his step mom's car.
I never had a chance to serve (two broken ankles) but we are proud of him.
Tell him thanks from me. It isn't an easy task. Tell him to just do what he is told in boot camp and it will be fine, it sucks, but after, you think back and realize it wasn' that hard.
Then again, I was in the Navy... (bring on the jokes)
and yeah, that is the only prob with factory tint. You could take packing tape and put it on the outside if you use good tape and do it right...

It is a "reverse" sticker so it is meant to go on the inside and face out so there is no way to put it on the outside.
Hell Id go out and buy a BIGGER AND BETTER STICKER! lol
Got the rover tinted up last night. I asked the guy who owned the place about stickers. He said the tint is on the inside for almost all tints (factory and aftermarket), also said that any residue from the sticky crap on the decal will eat away at the tint over time. He recomended either putting one on the outside away from the wires, or getting the static-cling type decal for on the inside against the tint. He told me that most people "scratch" off the tint what the use a razor blade instead of goo off.
