"S" dash light

a green s surrounde by a gear just recently apeared on ym dash. what does this mean and how do i fix it.

I'm inclined to think it's a transmission light (iv'e never seen that one), but what is your year and model so otherscan help you out?

You have turn on your Sports Mode for the tranny which enhances the shift of your tranny. The switch is on your console at the rear of the shift selector, just turn it off you don't want it on.
