$15.00 Facelift
 
1 can of Satin Black
1 can of trim Black
1 can of primer

1) I removed the grill and headlamp finishers, headlamps, turn signals and bumper mounted side marker lights.

2)Clean with alcohol.

3)Drink a beer.

4)Sand, clean with alcohol.

5)Drink another beer.

6)Prime Grill, headlamp finishers, bumper and plastic bumper trim

7)repeat step 3.

8)Clean with alcohol

9)Mask off any parts you don't want painted.

10)Paint grill, headlamp finishers and metal parts of bumper with satin Black.

11)Paint plastic parts of bumper with trim paint.

12)Repeat step 5

13) Second coat everything.

14)reassemble

15)Repeat step 12

(Steps 3,5,7,12 and 15 are solely at your discretion, I find the finished product looks better if ALL steps are completed :D )

Cheap repairs (and a little elbow grease) that make the truck look refreshed seem to feel the most rewarding. I think my wheel trim is in for some of the same TLC.

Just an FYI, Krylon Fusion paint for plastics works well on the plastic parts of the bumper. The regular trim paint will come off...

the pics don't really do it justice.

the best part is, now if I get a chip etc. I can touch it up with a Sharpie marker!!

oh, by the way, I did use the fusion paint.

I think she loves the attention.

ok. she's happy now. oil change. u-joints greased, front end had some attention.

Looks great. I am going to do this to mine now that I see how great yours looks. Maybe this weekend. And I will definitely be practicing the "optional steps" regardless of wether I paint or not. :D
