Cool 04 Disco wheel question.

I'm looking to swap my stock 18's to 16 inch wheels. Did the discos have both options in 04 and is that what I wanna look for at the bone yards? Someone told me that the bolt patterns are the same on a few different years but I want to double check that with you guys before I go and buy wheels that may not work! Thanks.

Default Wheel/hub bolt pattern

The hub bolt pattern is the same for all Discovery II's from 99.5 to 2004.

Scroll down to the bottom of this page(Britsh parts of Utah)
You will most of the Rim options that came on the Discovery's

And yes the 04's had the 16" wheels as an option...standard on the "S" model.

...also, P38 wheels are interchageable on your disco as well...

Thanks a million. Everybody around here (in my town) seems to be an expert on the subject but they're all feeding me different answers lol.

All the same answers -

Any 99.5-04 D2 16" rim will fit your 04
Any 95.5-02 P38 (Range Rover) will fit your 04
04 came with 16" rims from the factory as well

Ok I hate to beat the issue to death but I was just at the wheel store and the guy there ( who owns an 02 Disco ) is telling me I CAN'T put 16's on my 04 Disco because it's an HSE model and there are over-sized performance brakes (rotors, calipers and junk. ) on it. Anybody know about this on the HSE's versus the other models? I hope to god that he's wrong cuz I just bought all new discoverer STT's!

Ha!

He's talking out of his...

I am certain that there are no brake differences between the S, SE, and HSE models...to verify for yourself go onto any online rover part reseller and search for brakes, rotors, etc...parts are listed by year and model, eg discovery 1, discovery 2, etc...no distinction is made between trim levels.

...if it makes you feel any better call customer service at Atlantic British, Roversnorth, British Pacific, BPUtah, etc and ask them...

Man that guy at the tire shop is a dumbass. You will learn in time to come here first for answers rather then go to others.

16" will fit any and all models of disco. Don't worry on it at all.

Yes, any Land Rover 16" wheel from a D2 will fit, as well as possibly some from a Freelander. I have swapper my Range Rover wheels over to the D2 when I needed too as well.

Also I am curious, the bolt pattern is the same and offset is the same as some BMW models. I wonder if anyone has put some X5 wheels on a Rover before.
