At 145k need new shocks..
Hello,
My local indy Rover specialist says I should replace my shocks since I'm at 145k.. He highly recommends the OME shocks, but they're so expensive! Are they really that much better than the TFs? I mostly have my Disco on pavement and a little light off roading while I'm out hunting.
Whats the deal with the TF +2 shocks? What benefits do those have?

I've had TF and a buddy of mine has ran OME on a few different makes and models. Both have been good, but I'd get good for less money, or the TF.
I'm sure some grumpy person will come along and tell me how wrong I am.

I'm with Jafir. If not going crazy, just point a to point b, to get to your hunting spot.. save the $. both are fine, bilstein's are good too. you can blow out any of them if you try hard enough. +2" is good for the extra articulation with a lift, if you have or are planning one
He hasn't posted in a few weeks....but he's still lurking.
In the sprit of full disclosure, I did have the nicer prosport version of the TF shocks. And they were +3 I think.
I've got a similar set of +2 ready to install on the defender, courtesy of Rovers North supplying a raffle prize. (Thanks!)
