Not even the dealer can recalibrate the speedometer?

Found the recap web site, read up on their optional recap with the green stuff in it, pretty neat. I am meeting up with a couple of people this weekend who have installed them on the Discos for the Colorado winters.

I am thinking about buying a set for winter driving since I know my BFG MT's won't cut it.
I'll let you know what I find out.

I noticed that on the web site there weren't any 18" sizes listed. I just got off the phone with the company and the guy told me they were going to have a wide selection of 18" Green Diamonds available in probably 2 or 3 months. I think I'll buy a set as soon as they're available. Thanks, Disco Mike, for sharing that web site.

Please let me know what you think of them especially since you get harsher winters then we do here in Denver.

Just order a winter wheel and tire combo for your disco. You can get good deals from TireRack.com or discounttiredirect.com
Forget about the whole speedo recalibration because you don't need it. You will be sold a comparable wheel and tire package that mimics the same overall dimensions of you stock stuff this will leave your speedo unaffected.
The only time you would need to calibrate the speedo would be if you want to install some big'ol mudders that are taller than oem as a replacement for your existing wheel and tire combo.
