Default 2000 Disco 2 Back seat stuck half way...

The seat right behind the driver's seat is stuck with the back half up and half down. The lever on the top door side doesn't seem to be pulling the latch.

Any ideas on how to unstick it?

Any other ideas?

I was hoping someone would reply like: On the side pull up the leather covering a bit and expose the detent gear. Push the lever to allow the gear to turn.

Or something like that from soneone who knows for sure. That is just my best guess of what to do.

How to get to the mechanism that releases the seat back to move?

Pull the black tab behind the seat as if you were to fold it forward again for extra cargo space. Then put it back and give it a good slam and make sure it latch's with the hooks on the floor, then it should go right up. Mine wouldn't fold up the other day and i was pulling on that plastic piece near the head rest and come to find out it just wasn't latched all the way on the floor. Try that.
