Hi,

My wife and I are looking to buy a 2000 discovery w/ 77k miles on it. We have looked at some consumer reports on this car and are a bit worried about what is being said about its reliability. I would like to get some more info from people who own a Discovery regarding this. Is there a way to be proactive in finding potential issues before they happen? Can a garage mechanic discover them before they happen? How often have owners really encountered (major and minor) problems with their Disco?
