Anyone got and guidance fr this?

So far I have changed out the BCU, under dash fuse box and all fuses/relays, under seat transmission controller, ECU BCU. All from same parts vehicle that ran and drove.

Changing the BCU resulted in windows etc now working. But still wont start or operate normally. The dash alternates between two states 1) in key psotion 2 S and M green lights flash, mileage falshes, bunch of other normal lights. Will not crank. 2) for no apprent reason theres is a 'click' noise, all dash lights go out including fuel gauge etc, only light on is fuel warning light. mileage reads zero - THEN IT WILL CRANK!!! but not start.

Ignition key surround seems permanently red lit.

I am in over my head guys.....what do I try next??!

Take it to an independent LR shop. If it turns over but won't crank and the fuel light is on it could be out of fuel. With all of those electrical issues it sounds like the fuse box under the dash isn't to happy and neither is the XYZ switch. It could be imobilized also if the red alarm light flashes like crazy. I'd also pull the dipstick and see what the engine oil looks like.

Thanks for the reply. Taking it to a shop is not an option around here. Maybe I will make a new post when I have worked it down to more specific issues. So far I have 95% of the electrics working, and got it cranking (sometimes lol).

I put 5 gallons of gas in it. The gauge reads 1/4 tank when in its 'working' state. I tested the fuel pump with my iLand device, it came on. Oil is clean. XYZ switch was changed by the last guy that messed with it - but possibly not installed correctly? under dash fuse box was changed for one from a running driving vehicle. The only fuse box I have not changed is under the hood.

Wish I had the original plip key to take that off the list of possibilities.....

I will change out every damn electrical component from the parts car if I have to........

Is there a way to disable the immobilizer stuff to take that off the list?

With a Nanocom, not sure with the iLand device. D2's stock key was just a key with a remote. It was not a flip key.

3 things make an engine run:

1. Air
2. Fuel
3. Spark

Without any one of those = will not run.

CPS units are famous for going bad, or bad wiring to them. That will certainly cause the engine not to fire. Get a spark plugs tester & verify spark.

Adjusted the XYZ switch and now it will crank. Has spark. No fuel at fuel rail. Can turn on fuel pump with iLand and it pressurizes system. Still no start. So injectors not opening? What controls the fuel pump and injectors BCU? CPS is brand new.

make sure the CPS is made by Bosch. I had a non-Bosch (Duralast) CPS that was brand new out the box that gave me trouble.

Thanks for input.

I replaced the CPS for a known good one from a parts car. It was a Bosch. No change. still cranks but wont fire.

Fuel rail is not pressurised. Fuel pump relay and circuit is good (I rented a relay tester from my auto store). Pump comes on with tester. Just not with ignition........

This is driving me nuts...... Why wouldnt the fuel pump come on? BCU fault? ....the BCU/ECU/Dash came out of the same running and driving parts car......
