Default 2004 4.6 Top end rebuild

Just want to say thanks for everyone that contributes to the information on this board. Just got done with a project that started out as new head gaskets but once I had it down that far got a little bit larger of project. Thanks to all the information on the board I ended up doing the below with great success. Also, D&D Fab is a great company to work with.

Had heads pressure checked and resurfaced
Port and polish of heads, intake, and exhaust manifolds
New Crower Cam and lifters
New timing chain and gears
ARP head studs
Rebuilt oil pump
New seals in steering pump
Magnacor 8 mil wires
Bosch platinum plus 4's
All new radiator hoses
180 degree thermostat

Thanks to the Rave manual and this board it started right up. Runs right at 194 degrees no mater what type of driving. Thanks to Disco Mike for the major service list as I am now complete with that as well. With 140k miles it drives like new.

Thanks to all!

So have you had a chance to feel any additional low end torques and how is the mileage?

Only have about 150 miles on it so far so have not really pushed it yet. Gas mileage is same as before so far which was around 15 mpg. I will update as I get a few more miles on it. I was asking myself the same question yesterday, but really hard to tell by seat of the pants feel on power. I took my time with the rebuild so I haven't driven it in over a month, which has skewed my base line.
