Default 2004 Disco on craigslist

Hello everyone,

I'm considering calling the seller and check out this 2004. Here is the ad placed on craigslist. What do you all think?

2004 Land Rover Discovery (95k miles)

Thanks,

Chris

BE CAREFUL on that truck, look at pic number 5, look at the front wheels and then look through the window, the steering wheel is not straight, it is vertical while the wheels are near straight.
Either it has been in a accident or something serious is wrong with the steering box or front end.

Chris, I agree, there is something wrong, yes the mileage is high but $7500 is way to cheap for an 04 in your area.
If you are serious about it, make an appointment with Tony, at Cerrone's in Redwood City and have him do an inspection on it before doing anything else.

If it checks out ok, I like the fact that it's a base model. Sometimes that can make the price be a lot lower, because it's missing the pretty bumper and other stuff. No sun roofs too leak.

Thank you everyone for your input. Disco Mike and Spike555, you both are absolutely correct. That steering wheel just does not look right when the front wheels are centered. Good call...I was too busy admiring how nice it looks asthetically.
Jafir, at this point, I'm not sure if I'm going to drive about 55 miles over the Santa Cruz hills to see a car that looks like it might have a steering system issue. I may just pass on this one.

Thank you,

Chris

Nice looking truck, however, it doesn't appear to have leather or heated seats, both listed in the ad. Nevertheless, the price is pretty good for such a clean looking truck. go offer $6500, get a thorough ppi. Good luck. (you can always buy one of mine!) Phil

I wouldn't offer anything until the steering problem gets checked out by a mechanic. It could have been caused by an accident instead of a faulty steering system.

Ok guys, put your glasses on and look again....closely....you can see the front tires ARE actually turned just slightly to the right, corresponding to the steering wheel....

The steering wheel is turned WAY more than what the wheels are, totally does not make sense.
