Drill four holes in each lens cover, two on the bottom and two on the top, remove the lens cover and put the holes where they wont be seen when on the truck.

Sorry Yvan if you're no getting an answer to your question, as the people here rarely let someone go without assistance. I've read somewhere that you can drill holes in the housing to create air circulation thus eliminating the problem.

I answered his question, dont know what he did with the info though.
I think that the general consensous is to drill the four small holes where they cant be seen for the permanent fix.

Would'nt that just allow water 'in' though?

Be the first person to go backwards and use '99-'02 headlights in an '03-'04 D2. They don't seem to have this issue. You can also check for any clogged vent tubes.

Oddly enough no, not unless you drive in deep water. The top holes will be under the hood, by putting the holes in the lens you allow cross ventalation. When the lights are on they will heat thewater and it will evaporate out the top, when it sits in the sun the water will evap out the top, when the water cools it will condense and drain out the bottom.
There are drain tubes all ready built in, but they only work to drain the water out when it cools and condenses at the bottom of the lens. This is assuming that they are not clogged.
If you notice that everyone has this problem in the summer, not the dead of winter.
If there is a better fix then drilling two small holes in the lenses then please somebody enlighten me.

Sorry Spike, for some reason I didn't notice that you had answered the question. I am curious also cause a friend of mine with a D2, had me bid on 2003-2004 headlights on ebay cause he doesn't have an ebay or paypal profile. When he got the lights, he chickened out and offered me the lights. I'm abit afraid also, for I really like the looks, but those lights are known to have condensation problems. I would like this to be an upgrade, not a self created problem that I don't presently have.

I ordered the finishers and should be getting them this week. They should be on the truck within the next few weeks. If I don't chicken out too that is.
