Default 2004 HSE7 Update 120k with some questions

Hi first of all to all and thanks to DiscoMike for his recomendation on this car and all of the knowledge that is here.
Here are some facts.
Bought for 8500 in atlanta, Georgia then drove it to San Diego, Ca.
As soon as i picked it up it felt great seems a lady owned it and really took care of it on the outside and starting to think on the inside as well.
Per Disco Mike did the following:

Rear Diff Serviced
changed the oil
installed K&N filter
installed OEM air filter (old one was insane it looked like a black cardboard so funny)
went thru 3 seafoam on the way to SD

have used it and seems too good to be true...

one month past...

took it to north Montana to Glacier Park around kalispell and hanged around Bitter Root Valley for a couple weeks...

drove back to SD and still seems good.

now im trying to prevent issues and some issues have come up since that reading thru posts i need to get proactive and get all you guys more facts...

Now it has 120k its in SD and drive it around constantly about 80 miles a day aprox

i have noticed that the steering fluid goes down after 6k need to top off

noticed that the coolant as well needs to be toped off

and is now leaking oil pretty bad hadnt noticed before and may have always so took it to a service center to get an inspection done for free with a oil service... Last time i do never again rip Off is short for words...

they recomended flushing the coolant yet read that at that high mileage is a NO or should i they said no crud and all seems fine to do one.

i still have to get under the car and find out exactly where its leaking the oil the problem is that the whole bottom of the engine seems covered with engine oil and is just dripping on the lowest part of the mid engine... (will get more precise as soon as i figure out where it comes from)

also my dad has been a mechanic in Mexico Forever bad part is that he doesnt have the shop to work at and i live in Downtown and its hard to work on cars outside but can figure it out if i can do it all myself without the need of crazy scenerio pieces .....

He recommended i change the transmission oil and filter... noticed some use the filter, some don't. all recomendations are appreciated on this.

also the serpentine belt seems to be crackling think i should change it also

read the part about the front drive shaft rebuilt with greasable u joints and a new centering ball???? right take to drive shaft place

thinking about pulling the engine apart and redo the gaskets, belt, the iridium spark plugs.... what wires should i use OEM or any better?
should i do this pulling of engine and do it all at same time?? have good mechanics in Mexico that i can work with and labor is reasonable as i grew up with them at my pops shop and am eager to learn on my own but dont have all the tools yet....

havent had issues with the SLS seems to work fine.

Got stuck in sand for first time and sucked used the diff lock and nothing... about this whats the next step on upgrading... have been looking at the ARB air lockers do i need this on a 04' or whats the process to upgrade traction? i use the car as a daily driver now but plan on making it as close to a tank as possible.... mainly getting it ready for baja cali land where is mostly sand and dirt... go to snow 1-2 months a year, want to start going to desert in utah, colorado and here in cali to do some rock climbing saw some pics from disco Mike and would like to do this someday...but dont want to push it and be forced to fix something or get stuck in middle of nowhere...

also want to lift it a bit a 1" lift at most dont really use it much here in socal yet or should i wait to get other stuff done then put a 2" lift later , do i really need it?.. im planing on keeping this bad boy and supping it up as i am so impressed and glad i took the steps and got it....

So in resume here are some bullet points, sorry for going all over the place:

-do i need the air lockers on a 04' disco

-drive shaft service?

-transmission service with or without filter???.... Lucas additive????

-changing the gaskets / pulling out engine and replacing belts

-should i change the bags in the SLS once im doing all of this

-coolant flush??? yes no

-thinking of doing the brake bleed and also maybe getting new better rotors?? or just tornem? (tornear in spanish dont know the word in english) and brake pads...OEM??? something better?? had EBC on my STI before worked great dont know if they make for LR.

-if i do get the 2" lift later what am i going to need to upgrade also...( still reading thru plenty of threads ill eventually find it if someone can point me to great)

-suspension... about time to change Old EMU in front keep SLS in rear.... Right DiscoMike? thats what you run? going on baja trail mostly of the time... whats the best for this application?

-anything i might be overlooking that is crussial at this point would be greatly apreaciated...

Hope this isnt overwelming for some......

Thanks Again

Tony

You need California Rover in Encinitas. They'll take you through your truck, find ALL the problems and tell you what they think is critical and what can wait. Their 140 point inspection is free the first time. Then you'll have an actual list you can look at and decide what to tackle on your own and what to leave for them. You can even bring them parts and pay only for labor.

I've fixed several things on my truck and let them fix several I didn't think I could do. Rear Diff replacement, timing cover, etc.

If you go, tell Levon Rob with the black 99 DII sent you.
