Default 3 Amigo's just a question

Had the random 3 amigos today on the way to work, when I had a chance I went out to pull them. But when I fired up the Disco to move it to a more work friendly spot of course they were gone.

Does anyone know if a pending code is saved ?

This happened once before about a year ago and they never came back, until now.

I get the same on mine a couple of times a year, ever since I put in an ‘03 SLABS. It has only happened after hard acceleration after a stop. If I turn the key off for a few seconds the lights remain, but if I turn the key off for a couple of minutes the lights go away and stay away (for another half year or so). I think it’s a non issue myself.

I got the 3 amigos on an off-road tour. Used HDC a lot when the car was shaking heavily. I bled the brakes in the evening and there was some air in the fronts. After I came home I reset the codes and they never came back. Maybe you should do a brake bleeding to sort that out. It is a very simple job with a power bleed (short connect the ABS relay switch).

If you get that happening before Option B you probably have bad insulation on the shuttle valve Switches or the internal connector is causing it. If you have performed Option B and it does it either you didn't cut the connector off which goes up inside the Wabco Unit (have found this a lot lately on several D2's), or the ground isn't good enough.

@Best4x4 No option B yet as I have had no problems, might be in my near future

Codes should be stored, typically, ABS codes can not be cleared if active, or, they are stored and only cleared if inactive. Just checked the 04 yesterday afternoon (before leaving work), after ABS, TC and Hill Decent lights came on during the ride in.

Shuttle valve code. Hurray.

Thanks all as usual all is good, I will check for stored codes. An LR gremlin is sitting somewhere, trying to figure out what to do next to drive me nuts.

Option B is not difficult or expensive to do, thankfully.

I’ll also champion option b. Well worth the effort.
