yep thats what it sounds like. Lock the center differential and if she moves or rear wheel turns its 99% your cv

I don't have the cdl (yet), but on level ground and in low range, crank the wheels hard and go around in circles either way and there is not a sound and everything seems great. When i try it off road you can definitly here a clicking noise. How would i know for sure if it's the cv or maybe even the axle?

The clicking noise could also be TC kicking in to stop wheel spin when it looses traction.

Yeah, it scares the crap out of you if you don't know what's making the noise.

Yes it may be TC because it seems to only make that noise if the wheel spins and i thought at first it was on the drivers side and then the pass. side.

When the noise starts it is a natural reaction to let off the gas, but you need to keep on it.
Let the TC do its thing.
