#8 Plug Removal

Why do I feel like such a moron? I'm able to get the plug socket on the #8 plug but not able to get a ratchet or anything else on there.

Do I need to removed something? I have a 04 D2 with SAI

I use a wobble and some various extension sizes to get to that plug
