95 disco 70k miles hesitation

I just put new HG on my disco, new plugsand chased down a vac leak, now i have a hesitation, worse w/cold, the plugs were black, and if you stall it in gear it will not fire back up for a min

how can i check the clt temp sensor to the ecu, and fuel temp sensor?

also, are there any ls1 swapp kits avail?

Sounds like your running rich. Do you have any codes? Check engine light on?

no codes, but i think it is rich, mpg is way bad, and idle searches a bit

What spark plugs are you using, what gap, and have you ever replaced your plug wires?
unning rich can still be because of a vaccum leak, may want to search farther.

bpr6es(my race volvo runs bpr8es) gapped at 32, brand new

is vac leak will make it run rich, i bet that is my problem, i bet it is the booster

You might want to check, I think that gap is too small.

i can't find a vac leak for anything, the pwr steering pump is now making a nice lound racket, and someone backed into it lastnight and drove off

i cleaned the iac, seemed to help, but now it idles higher than ever, i guess ill pull the iac housing and clean it

check/ replace your PVC hoses while you are at it. They can look just fine, but crumble in your hand. Also, make sure you are running 91 or higher fuel.

Also, back to Mike's question about plug wires....

RE: 95 disco 70k miles hesitation

well, i put 1000 miles on it last weekend, drove all over the SE trying to get away from the drought(a 4 letter word for a kayaker)

did some nice classs 4 rivers and averaged about 16-18mpg, still has a hesitation, but i have yet to replace the dist vac advance

booster is certinly going south, and i am going to pulll the intake back off and make sure she is all sealed up properly, but it is finally acting like a truck w/75k miles, i think it just sat up too long
