Default about to buy my first land rover.....

Hello everybody this is my first post here but I have been lurking and reading the forums for awhile now. I'm planning on going and picking up a 99 d2 tomorrow. I have been looking at discos for awhile now and finally found one that I like for a decent price. I have just a few questions that I have not been able to find the answer to on the forum.

1st Im trying to find out what edition the truck is (sd, se ,ect) It has rear jump seats, air suspension, leather interior (I think?), harmon kardon radio. It has no moon roofs, rear air or heated seats. any ideas?

2nd what is a good site for aftermarket accesories? lifts, roof racks, ect.

3rd I want to enable my cdl and have looked at all the diys, but I'm trying to figure out if there is a kit out there that's cheaper than using the linkage off of a D1 or if there is a list of parts to make my own?

4th as far as D2 goes is there anything specific to watch out for on a 1999 vs any other year of D2? I know about the drive lines and air suspension.

1. Your interior shows an SE Leather package, but I've never seen an SE without the sunroofs.
2. Try RoverTyme for lifts, bumpers, skid plates. Atlantic British for other accessories or Ebay/Craigslist. Racks are expensive.
3. Message Camdisco for a link to a CDL shift kit - your vehicle most likely has the correct transfer case. Do a search on the forum for CDL and you should see plenty of posts on this topic.
4. Most folks ditch the air suspension and replace with springs. Nothing unusual about a 99, just replace/rebuild your front driveshaft with greasable u-joints and perform the 60k service asap.

It will help when posting to include your year model and mileage. That's a good looking truck - hope it works out for you.

Its got 144k on it but it is by far the cleanest rover I have looked at so far. and I'm probably going to get it in the $3200-3500 range

Mine is the same way it's not grime, it's wear. Can't really be help at that mileage.
