Unhappy ace clunking

Hello Having ace problems very loose feeling and clunking if I pull the fuse from under the hood clunking goes away replaced fluid in the resovoir four times replaced the filter in the valve block but still no improvement. When it is cold out 35 degrees and below ace will work for about an hour of driving before the clunking comes back. I noticed on another thread that replacement of the ace ecu resolved his problem I would try this but because mine works when its cold I dont think it could be the ecu.

I was kind of annoyed when I found out I didn't have it, but should I be? One less thing to go wrong I guess...

Yeah, I stopped and drove an 01 at a car lot the other day because it had ACE. I noticed a difference on hard corners in town. It was sturdy. I popped the hood after the test drive to check the fluids and everything was black. Then I noticed the litle stream of coolant from the drivers side rear of the head.

I was looking for a friend whose truck had blown up. I asked the dealer if they knew all of the stuff wrong with it.....no idea. I ran down the list, and immediately he realised he paid too much for it. He was asking $7K and it had 110K miles...no thanks

If I remember right, there may be a TSB out for that problem, might want to call your dealer and ask them to run your vinn for recalls and TSB issues that may be related to the Ace.
By the way, I also have Ace e-mail me your tele number, I may be able to walk you thru a couple things to check.

I love my ACE.

One question, are you losing any fluid and having to refill to replace? Or did you replace it several times to have "fresh" fluid?

There is a known, likely culprit if it's losing fluid.

You forgot to mention the leak before, where is it leaking? When it comes to ACE, no leak is acceptable based on their pressure. If you want help with this you need to get a lot more specific.
