Default Added a 2004 D2 to the family !

so excited to have finally found the D2 we were looking for. The wife, 2 daughters, and myself are all sporting white Rovers, so our new off-road project had to fit in. Once we powder coat the wheels black, it will fit right in. Does anyone know if there is a retrofit kit for automatic headlights? The inly
issue I’ve had so far is forgetting to turn the headlights off because all of the other Rivers are automatic. Also, I noticed this model does not have daytime running lights.

Awesome collection! For automatic headlight, where there is a will there is a way, as long as you have either time or money.

Daylight Running Lights were an option on D2’s depending on the market. Not sure on 03-04’s but I’m sure you could enable it. On 03-04’s the H7 bulbs don’t last nearly as long IMHO vs 94-02 D1/prefacelift D2’s with 9003/H4’s.

I had to get the daytime running light option turned on when I moved from the States to Canada. It is possible.

A DRL relay (with the green strip) needs to be added to the fuse block. I then used my Nanocom unit to program the BCU to turn on the option. If you do not have a a Land Rover specific programmer, you can take it to a dealership or LR independent repair shop to do this. It should not take more than a few minutes to re-program it.
