The photos are from a UK site http://www.rock-sliders.co.uk/discov...e-sliders.html

Excellent terminology it sums up some drivers I've seen.

Hmmm, unfortunately I'm not into customising trucks as I only use them from stock, us elderly pensioners (sorry - age challenged) can't afford such luxuries but I get your drift with the rock sliders. Maybe I should knock up some from 50mm galvanised gas pipe and fit them especially for the local ****** to wreck their old Renaults/Citroens/Peugeots on, not that they'd even notice

So it seems that both of these options never even made it to the US market from what I've found and if it's true they are riddled with problems then the last thing I want to add to my Disco is another list of problems.

I got 99 problems but folding mirrors ain't 1
Sorry Jared, I wasn't trying to rain on your parade only save you a possible disappointment and a lot of hard earned cash. Having lived with power fold LR mirrors since 2000 on the V8 and TD5 I have always been underwhelmed with their fickle and spasmodic performance, their use and worst, the reticence of LR to sort out the multiple problems with them. Another problem being is they aren't autofold on parking like the RRS, the D2 has to be manually folded in so with the ensuing problems one tends not to bother. But don't let me put you off though............... you guys have bundles of $$$$$$$$$$ to spend
