Default After many Jeeps and few Toyotas, I got my first Disco!

Started with YJs in the early 2000s and then TJs, most of them with the 4.0 i6, I built/bought all different variants. Auto, manual, short arms, long arms, geared, or sloths... I've had them all, loved them all, then got over them! But then with the need for more comfort and space, I bought a 98 ZJ 5.9, then a Land Cruiser 100, then a V8 4Runner. So here we are with my first leap over to the Rover land!! I have always loved the way these things look on the trails when you'd see one done right, but man did I not know how it drives. The seating position. The narrow but tall cockpit. The chunky steering. The doors. Man, I am hooked!!!!

AWESOME, This is the transition I am waiting to do as well.

I sure miss my YJ, and its funny some of the Discos have the same rear frame rust problem.
At least we know what we are getting into.

Awesome pickup! Congrats on the new toy.

I myself bought my first D2 on Monday. Unfortunately, I'm awaiting shipping to bring the car from Florida to California. Will be a long next couple of weeks.

Do it!! You won't be disappointed. And that's not talking crap on jeeps, I am still a big fan, but as I'm getting older my needs are evolving.
