Terrible idea.

I think it looks completely absurd and undeserving on a small mazda or ford pickup, much less a discovery!

Your discovery is not a 1 ton pickup or a semi, its a discovery.....

If your next question is if we think exhaust stacks would look good coming out of the the top, I'll speak for everyone and say no.

Save your money and time and fix those leaks!

There was a guy on craigslist around here selling a train horn that he had mounted on his f150. He said it was crazy loud if you really want a diesel mod.

My buddy has 2 hella horns mounted on his Tacoma and they are loud (under statement). Its actually not a bad mod if you can find the right setup, cheap, and do it yourself. Scare the **** out of people while you are crawling the mall - LOL.

P.S. - The mall statement wasn't directed at anyone specifically...

If you want a diesel pickup, buy a diesel pickup. Don't destroy your Disco by trying to make it look like a diesel truck. That's how the world got inflicted with the H2 and H3.

Properly tuned, diesels really don't smoke that much. The trucks putting out all the black smoke are trucks that have been chipped and/or larger injectors but the turbo hasn't been changed to keep the air fuel ratio correct. Too much fuel and not enough air in the cylinders. All that black smoke out the exhaust pipe is pure unburnt fuel. Bad for the environment and bad for the wallet, even if it is fun to watch the black smoke roll. I used to have a Dodge Cummins that could leave a cloud black smoke so thick small cars would get lost in it. Now that I've grown up a little (sadly) all I see is money exiting the tailpipe which is why my Powerstroke has no performance mods on it.
