Default Am I doing the coolant flush right?

I’m switching to green coolant instead of using dex, searching around seems a lot of people hate using Dex-Cool. To flush the system could I just remove the hose from the bottom of the radiator drain it all and the reservoir , refill using distilled water and run the engine for a bit then re drain and repeat then fill with new green coolant? Is there anything special I have to do differently with the 03’

I've used a garden hose & let it run for a while & I've also used a small shop vac to suck out as much as possible, then flush with a hose, then repeat until the stuff I'm sucking out is clear. Then I add coolant, and bleed as needed.

Get a bottle of Zerex or Preston Flush, too. I would say just distilled water is fine, but considering Dexcool is in there’s i would go the extra mile.

Not a bad time to do a pressure test with the distilled water in it. You can rent the tools from autozone.

Drain as you said and refill with water only, and do it however many times you have to do it till there's no visible Dex color left. At that point the system will be very, very close to having water only in it. At that point, drain it again as completely as you can and refill with Prestone concentrate, not the 50-50 mix. That will give you, with the water in the system, very close to the 50-50 mix that is your target.

If you have a wet dry vac you can use that to blow all the water out of the system.
