Default Another Leak Question

Coolant, that is. I've read quite a bit about the HG and valley pan. I know I need to get it pressure tested to see, but...Here is what I got:

2004 Disoc. Had the head gasket repair by PO at LR. I changed the thermostat months ago. Seemed like I had a small leak always, now it id worse. Have added a few ounces the last 2 days. After I park I get a steady drip every few seconds onto the hot exhaust, just after the elbow leaves the motor. It seems like it does not drip if I just idle, so it is moving from somewhere else most likely. I crawled around in the rain to try and find it to no avail. All of the coolant pipes I could reach were dry, and some of the others under the pan were just dirty and nasty, so hard to tell.

Anyone know what runs back like that, right over the exhaust? Trying to get some ideas what it might be. The exhaust seems good, oil looks okay.

there are a few freeze plugs back there, but as you said you need to borrow a pressure tester.

I guess I wanted someone to reassure me that the valley pan gasket would not cause this.

A VP gasket could be an issue but if it was just replaced it's less likely. The lower manifold bolts go on tight enough where it should seal up.

Have you checked the driver side valve cover top to see if it's wet. A common leaking point is the throttle body heater, it drips and runs along the valve cover and onto the exhaust.

But as been said a few times, even by yourself, pressure test it and you'll know for sure.

I know, I know. Just can't do it right now, and wanted input.

I'll check those valve cover bolts and see. Thanks for that tip.
