Default Another stalling issue

Hello all. Have a 2004 D2 that stalled today at a light. Started up after about a minute. Drove it to the next destination, about 10 miles where it sat for about an hour. Would not start after this. Tried for 30 minutes and had it towed home. Once there it started right up.

Reading here points to a CPS but that was replaced about 15,000 miles ago. I know it could be the CPS but hoping not to have to do that job again. It turns over well and seems like it wants to start.

Does the CPS failing throw any codes? The ultra gauge is showing no pending or current issues. I will check the voltage in the AM but the battery is 2 years old. I did purchase about 10 gallons of gas at a station I usually avoid so maybe bad gas? If I need to I will try the relays for the fuel pump also.

Anything else obvious? Really just wanted to know about the absence of codes and the CPS. I'll throw some gas in as well. Thanks for any advice on easy things to check first.

Did u replace it with a Bosch unit? If it wasn’t a Bosch unit = they don’t last long at all!

From memory I don't remember getting any fault codes when my CPS crapped out in the middle of hot Atlanta traffic.
Could be bad gas or possibly low fuel level too (fuel gauge sender float bad?). Try a fill up.

This morning the truck started fine. The uktragauge showed a P0332 fault, which I see is a knock sensor. No CEL so will wait as it appears it will only light the CEL after 4 faults. Filled up with gas from the QT I always go to and noticed the UltraGauge showing "no gauge selected". Went thru the setup and it still shows "No gauge selected".

Is this a sign of something more sinister, or the UG acting up? Guess I will have to try the UG on another vehicle but anyone have this issue?

Default P0332 issue

I took care of my p0332 code by first switching out the sensor, it came back. Crawled back under and noticed that at the factory they installed the absolute worst coaxial cable I had ever seen. After I unbraided it with a dental pick and twisted it up, I resodered it (in the air above me yes) and heat shrinks it best I could. No issues sense. The only way to pull the wire out is to take off the entire intake manifold then unbolt and disconnect the harness from underneath. I would try cleaning the wire harness to you CPS with MAF cleaner, whenever I have issues with starting I clean that and my IACV. Might just simply have to replace the CPS.

good luck.

The first CPS I installed didn't last long. If there is any oil coming from the valve covers and gunking up the CPS it will poop the bed pretty quick.

If the CPS doesn't fix it, it may be the fuse box under the dash-drivers side. Mine had the exact same issue. I replaced the CPS and it still stalled/wouldn't start. Turned out to be the fuse box. They don't make them anymore so you have to source used . Hopefully the cps will fix it .
