Anti-freeze top off

Anti-freeze top off
Hey Guys,
I'm low on Anti-freeze, not exactly sure what is in there, but it's orange.
I know the manual says use only 2 very specific brands (Castrol/Texaco 50/50 mix) I'm assuming due to an aluminium engine?
Is Aluminium safe Anti-freeze orange? I've always just used the green, but not for this car.
Thanks!

TONS of info on this question if you do a search.
You have Dex-Cool in your engine.

If you are just topping off you MUST use Dex-Cool.
If you are doing a complete cooling system flush and fill then you can use ANY aluminum safe engine coolant.
I recommend a complete flush and fill with something other than Dex-Cool.
The reason it has Dex-Cool is because it is more environmentally safe than other coolants and that helps offset Land Rovers CAFE fines.

Thanks Spike.
I was reading up somewhat on the Dex-Cool vs. other Anti-freezes.
I don't have my service records with me (I'm in PA, they're in NYC) although I'm not sure if that would indicate what was used to fill it.
I'm taking a trip to VT next weekend, so I want to make sure it's topped off before I start driving hundreds of miles.
This is the right stuff?

Thanks Spike.
I'd love it if I had the time to do a coolant flush before leaving @ 3:30 am on Friday but I doubt I will (Unless I send my boyfriend someplace Generic: Jiffy Lube/Midas/Etc & I'm already apprehensive of those places with this car)
But after doing some research I definitely want to get that crap out ASAP!!!!

Not to beat a dead horse... but
I've been reading up on this over the past couple of days and decided to consult the AutoZone universal bottle that states, "When used as directed, AutoZone Extended life Antifreeze and Coolant may be added to the antifreeze/coolant of ANY make or model of car or light duty truck on the road, foreign or domestic." So this to me says it's okay to use as a topoff or if you don't want to flush your cooling system.
Where you gain real clarity imo is in the directions, (the use as directed part from the info above) or fine print. 1. Drain 2. Flush (flush is the key, you've basically eliminated all of the OAT or Dexcool in the case of DII's if you follow the directions). So what about that says mix? Nothing in my opinion. I doubt Autozone would come to my rescue when it's time to do the radiator or better yet a $4500 engine w/o labor. I'm guessing other universals have a similar set of words.
