Default Any one running Goodyear Duratracs?

I am looking for new tires and I am currently leanign towards the BFG All Terrains. They get good mileage and are a great all around tire. I like the look of the new Goodyear Duratrac and wanted to hear if anyone had any expereince with them for more than just an initial repsonse. How long do they last. I don't want to replace $900 in rubber in 30K miles.

I ran Duratracs on my Disco and liked them so much I now have a set of Duratracs on my Super Duty. I've put them through all kinds of abuse and never had a problem. I have about 12000 miles on the Duratracs on my Super Duty and they are barely showing wear. My Super Duty empty is 7500 pounds so it tends to be hard on tires and the Duratracs seem to be handling it.

On my Disco I ran 245/75R16C. The Super Duty is running 285/70R17D.

Not know what sort of driving/wheeling you may be doing, but being familiar with both tires, I have to tell you the the Dura Trac is hands down the better tire. I have run BFG's for years and still am but the Dura Trac offers so much more then the BFG AT's, lasts as long but gives you much better traction on any condition, rain, snow ices and out in the rocks the traction is far greater.

I can tell you the BFG A/T's are a crap tire, I have had them on my work van and I got stuck more with those, even though they are rated for severe snow, than my other tire choice, which as you know is the Cooper S/T.
I like the looks of the Dura Tracs, but the price is overwhelming .

I've got 32" BFG A/T KO's on my FJ40 and I had lots of issues when the road iced over, but in the snow, on road and off road I love em.

Ditto on Goodyear's being outrageous...

Put the Dura Tracs on today. I have already been messing with the front bumper and the inner plastics to keep from rubbing. Tomorrow I will have to flip the spare carrier to fit the bigger size. As soon as I figure out how to post photos I will put them up.

www.photobucket.com
Unload your pics, there is even a free app for the iPhone so you can upload straight from the phone.
Once the pic is uploaded, copy and the "IMG CODE" and paste it to the forum.
And submit post and then BAM!! Picture!

Just keep in mind if you ever delete the img from photobucket it will also be deleted from the forum.

Sorry I am going out of town on the motorcycle, so I took some initial photos to show the progress, in the dark and rain. I will post more up after the weekend in the daylight.
