Default Any one running just the bumper reinforcement bar

I just saw the discovery below on my local craigslist. My plastic bumper is cracked and duct-taped back together and I generally hate it. I've been close to pulling the trigger on a terrafirma bumper, but I have to say this picture does not look half bad. I could use the $800 bucks I save for something else if I went this route.

Anyone else running a car without the plastic front bumper but just the rebar? Any pics? I'd love to see a 3/4 and side view.

thanks!

British Atlantic 20% off one item this weekend, i don't see the TF on there site.
but the can order it that is were i got mine with free shipping.
20% adds up on something that pricey;
they do have the all makes or Britpart bumper

Bumper Front Winch Mount (DA5645 Same Fit As Part # DA5645 ) - Land Rover body panels/fittings/trim exterior from Atlantic British

20% off makes it $400 front bumper

it not the same quality as the TF but for $400 how can you go wrong if you just want a bumper.
now if you want to climb Mount Vesuvius you probably want a different bumper
glad i could help

Am I seeing things or is the AllMakes bumper in the AB pic bent in the middle?

pretty crapping picture but it does return in the center, i assume it is so the winch is not sitting out and farther than needed.

all of the cheap bumpers look pretty awful, I think Justin had the cheapest one at L8. They don't fit correctly every time though(not just the L8 ones, all of them)

I think you're right. It seems concave in the middle maybe to accommodate the winch fascia and rollers so they don't protrude in front of the overall bumper. (probably a safety feature to stop a young kid chewing the winch rollers when you've run them down )

PS. On second viewing it may be the top edge angles slightly upwards giving an optical illusion.

Yeah besides looking bent inward in the middle, the tips of top plate look bent upward near the grill to me. Could be an optical illusion or maybe they ran over somebody?

Whatever it is I'm betting they could sell more with a better pic or another bumper.

Looks like my wife has been behind the wheel!
