Default Anyone running BFG Mud Terrain TA's?

I have them in size 235/85/16, load range E. It says on the sidewall 80lbs. I have 60lbs. in each tire, and they look plenty full of air to me. I'd like to know how much air you guys are running in these tires, those of you that have them.

80 PSI is the max, they always list the max on the sidewall not what they recommend.
Check the drivers door/frame for tire PSI.
With 60 PSI I bet it rides like a haywagon.

I like that analogy. A full hay wagon does ride like a Cadillac though.

So which tire do you have, the AT's or the MT's?
As for the tire pressure, I would look at 45#'s front and rear, I run my 265 MT's at 40 and 45#'s with great tire wear. Off road you can then drop them to around 18#'s for hard wheeling.

FWIW I've been running BFG MT's for about 12 years now they are awesome tires. As far as running 80# in them [sm=jawdrop.gif]

I run 25-30# on the street, 12# for all around off roading and 8-10# if it gets nasty.

I called BFG and spoke with one of their people that answer these questions. I was told that I should be running 45psi in the front tires and 55psi in the rear tires.

Everybody does what they feel is right but truely, you are running to low on the road, maybe not from a critical saftey factor but your tires will run too hot and wear out sooner then they should at your settings.
Also, most of use in the different Rover clubs, I have been in agree, 18#'s, especialy if you run lockers, is about as low as you want to go off road without loosing a bead, especially on your left front tire.
