Is there a reason that this is not Spec to fit on a 2002 Discovery ll. I am sure ARB them selfs can answer on Monday, but I would Like to here it form members.

I like the Look Much Better than the Bullbar ARB that is Listed for the 00-02 models.

 

I would love that on my '01 D2 as well. I already have a Chrome bull bar and do not want to give that look up. I looked at the specs for the black ARB front bumper that looks similar for the '99-'02 models. It does not have the holes for the small round lights that the ''03-'04 have, but that is really cosmetic, but if I read it correctly, looking at the black bumper with a brushguard on the front that is made for the '99-'02 and made slightly different for the '03-'04, but looks the same except for the small round light holes, the recovery points are mounted different from the factory on the '99-'02 models than the '03-'04. So it appears that on the '99-'02 or the '03-'04 the recovery points are included in the ARB bumper and not included on the other as they are on the frame. I cannot remember which is which, but I think that is what the difference is and why the '03-'04 made bumper that we both like does not fit the '99-02' model years.

I would be very interested to see what ARB has to say, and it this nice bumper with Chrome bull bar can be made to work on the '99-02' I would love to here that. Please give an update when you hear back from ARB.

 

If it fits a DII it will fit a DII.
The only real difference between the model years is the looks and features.
Frame and body panels are all the same.

 

Thats what I thought, thus the reason for My Confusion.

I'll call on Monday and post there response to the reason why they have them Listed as they do.

 

The earlier 99-02 grill is about 2 inches lower then the newer 03-04 grill. The stock bumper fits close to the grill. I have a 03-04 grill on my 2000 with the stock 2000 bumper so there is a 2 inch gap between the bumper and the grill. I put a painted black peice of aluminum to fill the gap. That could be why the ARB only fits the newer discovery.
