Default Bad Motor Mount?

Starting a new thread on this one.
See previous thread here: https://landroverforums.com/forum/sh...587#post430587

Does this mount look bad??

I was under the truck lying on my back looking forward at the oil pan and it appeared to be leaning down to the passenger side of the frame. Is this normal?

Here's a pic of the passenger side motor mount. Does it look bad?

I'm I missing a hunk of rubber from that mount????

Here's one from A.B.. Mine doesn't look quite like this one...

After reading your other thread I am betting on one of your motor mounts being bad. I had something similar about a year ago. I had an odd vibration under take off load that. It was the drivers side motor mount. Replace both

Yep it's broken. The only reason yours doesn't look like that one is the heatshield is covering it.

You aren't missing a chunk, the thin plate on one side has split away from the rest of the mount and the rest has shift a bit.

I suspected something wasn't right just by the way the engine was sitting. That explains why my passenger side cat was grinding into the prop shaft.

And FYI, rovahfarm has aftermarket mounts for about $30 less than the aftermarket mounts at AB.

I would not trust the aftermarket mounts. I used them as well and have since replaced them both with factory. Also while you are at it you might want to have a look at your transmission mounts.

I had allmakes mounts in mine for a couple of years with no issues.

But if OEM is what you want, at this site:

http://landrovermerriamparts.com

They are only about $3 more than the ones at AB.

If you can find QT mounts, I hear they are the best... Problem is... No one can get them. I've been waiting since August for mine
