Bank A Oxygen sensor

Where would the bank A one be? Mine needs to be replaced.

Spike555 Jun 11, 2009 04:53 PM

I think bank "A" is the drivers side.
Keep in mind that O2's need to be replaced in pairs, so if you replace one front O2 you must also replace the other front O2.
What codes do you have and what is the truck doing?

Disco Mike Jun 11, 2009 05:09 PM

What is the exact fault code number and how many miles on your truck?

ghostrider747 Jun 11, 2009 08:06 PM

When I get home I will give ya the exact fault codes there were two for the ox sensor both were bank A.One was a low volt and the other was fail to switch lean. I have 118000 on the clock. I have done all the high mile maint to it. Plugs, magna cor wires, Sea foam, Tstat. All my fluids are full synthetic and I burn 93 gas.

The rear ones are OK to replace the front ones are fun. All 4 require patience and the ability to shrink your hands, work without seeing what you are doing, and be resistant to burns. But you did the ignition wires you should be used to that. I'm having my own O2 sensor fun now so good luck.

I was wrong there are 3 codes
P0130 (PTH) Oxygen sensor circuit slow response, upstream sensor bank A
P0133(-T-) Oxygen sensor circuit slow response, upstream sensor bank A
P1138 (p--) Oxygen sensor problem with switching lean, sensor(s) for bank A
all were Drive Cycle C

Just replace them all, have fun with the front driver's side sensor.

I agree, although you only have codes for one 02 sensor, with your mileage they all need to be replaced.
Check out prices at Rover Connection and Atlantic British.
