Bastards Stole My Catalytic Converter
Crazy times here in the Los Angeles suburbs with all the COVID-19.
The other day my son drove our DISCO to work and shockingly surprised when leaving after his shift. Seems some scum took a sawzall (according to witness) and took one of the cars catalytic converters. They also butchered the one O2 wire that was on the section they took.
Any suggestions on if I can replace with a generic CAT or will only a OEM will work.
Stay safe out there people.

You can get a complete Y pipe with cats for anywhere from $200ish to upwards of a grand on ebay. Theres a few different brands and styles I've noticed. Some with cheap krinkly bends, some with what looks to be 2 pipes coming off the exhaust manifold instead of 1, magnaflow high flows, etc. Could also have some generics welded in at a shop but I think you'd be better off just buying a complete Y pipe.

Wow, really sorry to hear this. Must have startled the hell out of you when you started it up. Kalifornia CARB is pretty finicky, may sure whatever you get is 50 state compliant. It's illegal to resell used cats in most states, I'm not sure if that's what Leather Boots is suggesting. Not saying it isn't done or that I have a problem with it, it sounds ridiculous to me, but you may have a hard time finding someone to sell you used cats.
