Put a set of Bridgestone Dueler REVO on mine last week. My neghbor works at the Bridgestone plant and the Duelers are made there. Bridgestone is one of my sponsers on the race bike and with my rider support and his employee discount 235/70 16 $57ea. I have my own tire machine and balancer.

Glad to get the wore out Michlens off.

Great tire.

Great Price and I am sure its nice having a tire machine - I do my own motorcycle tires but not setup for auto.

I looked at the Bridgestone Destination MT's but they didn't have the size I wanted.

My tire machine will both, most of the time it's setup to do my motorcycle tires, usually take three mounted race sets to track.

Question XZL Michelin 8.25R16?

What about XZL Michelin's in 8.25? They measure out to about 33.5in tall and 8in of tread width on a 8in rim.

The downside's would be you can't go over 65mph safely, they would be really noisy on the road, and I can't find a shop that can actually get 5 of them.

Does anyone run these?

Question BFG it is - SIZE tho?

So i have asked a few guys here about their setup's, read a bunch on this and other sites, and have decided to stick to my guns and get the BFG MT's. I also saw that a local guy had these on his FJ40 and looked at his setup this morning (255/85/16) - they looked way too skinny for how tall they are so I am stuck back on the size again. I am not apposed to some MINOR cutting/modding if needed or if i need 1in spacers or something to make fit right and look balanced.

Here is my setup before tires:
3in OME lift (751/763), OME shocks (N107/N108), extended SS lines, extended ABS sensors, and reinforced turret retaining rings. Wheels are 16x8in custom steel that stick out 3/4in more than stock 18's on both sides.

So I would like to see if there is anyone running this setup or really close and get their opinion on the tire size. And if you have pictures of yours that would be awesome.

3 BFG MT size choices: (all radials and all "E" load)
LT255/85R16/E - Rim Size:6.5-8in Tread=10in on 7rim - Overall Diameter = 33.3

LT265/75R16/E - Rim Size:7-8in Tread=10.5in on 7.5rim - Overall Diameter = 31.9

LT285/75R16/E - Rim Size:7.5-9in Tread=11.3in on 8rim - Overall Diameter = 33.1

I know some of this may be a repeat of another post and/or thread but I am getting really close to having this setup and the wheels with no tires, so I am asking for more help.

Thanks again for everyone who has helped me with this and hopefully when people are searching the forum later they will learn something from this as well.

Here is my setup with the KM2 265-75-16s. I have the OME 751s with the 762s so it should be a close comparison. I wouldn't go wider because at full wheel lock they rub. As you can see in the last picture I probably wouldn't go any taller unless you plan on doing some cutting.

malmberg - thank you for this and it does look pretty good. Could I trouble you for a picture of the truck just sitting on level ground? I really like width of those on your truck.

Thanks-
