Default Brake Bleeding/Motive Bleeder

Are any of you using a Motive pressure bleeder? I have been using one for years on my BMW's and I ordered the universal apapter marked for Land Rover Disco II's on their website, the 1101 model. I put it together and get under the hood to find out it doesn't fit.

Any of you using a pressure bleeder on your DII? I have a 2002.

Thanks,

Chris

By the way-I called customer service and they don't know what to tell me. They are checking on some things and they are supposed to get back with me.

You can do a gravity bleed by your self or have some one pump the brakes as you bleed, plan on at least 1 quart of brake fluid to flush it all out.

Weird. The BMW cap is a screw cap and the Land Rover cap has two tabs, does not screw down, just push down and turn.

what year is your disco? I'm trying to figure out what different typs of resevoirs there are out there on DII's.

Thanks

It's an '03 and the cap looks identical to a 745 cap right down to the filter in the top of the reservoir. Just went out to make sure I wasn't having a false memory. I got my bleeder from BavAuto and have just used the quick connect cap it came with.

Here's what I did. Made a little contraption out of spare piece of lumber. Worked like a charm.

Default How To Bleed Your Brakes in Three Easy Steps

1. Add brake fluid to the Motive Power Brake Bleeder tank.

2. Firmly connect the supplied adapter to brake master cylinder and pump the Motive Power Brake Bleeder to pressurize.

3. Starting with the furthest away brake bleeder valve (typically on the rear of the vehicle), open brake bleeder valve and purge the air and old brake fluid from your brake system.

Did you ever get the 1101 Motive cap to work? There was a guy on Amazon that said the same thing that it didn't fit.

any solution to this? I enjoy using my motive power bleeder on my VW Passat but I haven't been able to find a compatible cap for my wife's 03 Discovery II.
