Steel braided lines are on my list. I think Justin at Lucky8 ships a set of 4 for around $70-80.

Long travel means you have brake pads that are worn out on one of the wheels.
That is the simple solution. You may have a caliper leaking too.

Might be air in the brake system too.

Worse case you need to bleed the system and you may need a test book to engage the WABCO to get it to purge air.

Is a anyone selling a test book like device or software at a reasonable price. Last time I talked to a local independent shop about checking something on my other disco, he wanted $100 to plug his test book in.

You guys might want to look at the Lynx as recently mentioned by another member. If you already have a Windows laptop or tablet no add-ons needed, not vin specific, is upgradable to other models and appears to be an outstanding tool. Under $400 delivered if ordered from UK. Lynx Diagnostics Interface DA6430

DA6430 | Lynx Single Model Home User Version | Vehicle Diagnostics | Britpart

You can jump the ABS pump with a piece of wire, it will then act like a power bleeder. Just do not activate the pump for more than a few seconds at a time.

i take it activating the abs pump with the test book or nanocom is safer then jumping as you describe? doesn't the test book or nanocom activate the abs pump longer then a few seconds when bleeding the brake lines?

If they are like my Hawkeye it uses a momentarily switch.the advantage is the Hawkeye with reach each wheel so it is a one person job.

reach each wheel as in it has a long cable? was that an extra option? the nanocom comes with a 1meter cable, and had an option to buy an extension that made it another meter longer. i guess that would have been a good option i guess? oh well.

Have never checked the length but I do have to run it out the back door in order to reach.
