Out of all my LR’s I’ve never had a single one have a problem with a rear main seal. Heck my 4.0L I6 Jeep engine rear mains leaked with 3k on them. I know it’s a PITA job, but maybe just maybe someone previously jacked it up & now it just gushes oil due to damage from a previous attempt at fixing it before you got it?
Was the replacement seal OEM LR or aftermarket? I know when I owned H3’s the National Oil Seal brand CV axle seals DID NOT work. You had to use OEM GM to get a perfect seal. I will never use URO, or Allmakes4x4 for any engine parts or seals. I have truly seen some crap made by them. Britpart thermostat is the only thing I use, and I know they don’t actually make it. They sell a lot of crap too.
It truly sucks with all the work you put into it, but the buick 215 based LR is not a total turd with the 18 examples I’ved owned from 500.00 wonders to 37K when new without a single issue. I have never sold a LR with a dead engine. All my LR’s ran excellent and didn’t gush oil. If they were all junk I’d have certainly owned one by now.

Yeah LR bumpers F/R are egg shells. I’m selling a mint condition 03-04 front bumper off of my 04 that was replaced in 2012 (date code sticker is still on the back) complete with the tow hook, lower support, splash guards, and every single bolt for 250.00 locally & not one person had contacted me lol.
When I had 03’s when they were new LR had a service campaign on the H7 bulbs on 03-04 D2’s. They were failing at an alarming rate. I myself went thru 6-8 bulbs easy on both my 03’s. LR was great about replacing them, and eventually they replaced them with a long life version and the failures stopped.
